What Will You Actually Be Doing?

This won’t be a role where you spend every day sitting at a desk.

You’ll get involved in lots of different areas of the business and learn how things work in the real world.

• Visiting sites and seeing how jobs are delivered.

• Helping plan and organise work.

• Working with operational teams.

• Learning how to manage people.

• Speaking with customers and suppliers.

• Joining meetings with experienced managers.

• Helping organise vehicles, equipment, materials and people.

• Learning how contracts and projects are run.

• Helping solve problems when things don’t go to plan.

• Learning about costs, budgets and how a business makes money.

• Getting involved in health and safety.

• Helping improve the way we work.

As you gain experience and confidence, we’ll gradually give you more responsibility.

You’ll Learn How to Become a Manager

Nobody starts their career already knowing how to manage people.

Your Apprenticeship

Alongside your job, you’ll work towards a recognised management apprenticeship qualification.

That means you’ll be earning while you’re learning.

You’ll have time for training, coursework and development, but you’ll also be putting what you learn into practice every day.

By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll have both a recognised qualification and valuable real-world experience.
